Ministering to The Father Chapter 3

Hearing From God

James 4:8
 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. 
Cleanse your hands, you sinners;
 and purify your hearts, you double-minded
His desire is to speak to us personally
 and we must hear Him personally ourselves
John 10:3-5
To him the doorkeeper opens,
 and the sheep hear his voice;
 and he calls his own sheep 
by name and leads them out.   
And when he brings out his own sheep,
 he goes before them; 
and the sheep follow him, 
for they know his voice.   
Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, 
but will flee from him,
 for they do not know the voice of strangers.”
Drawing near to Him opens the door
for Him to fellowship and teach
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you 
and teach you in the way you should go;
  I will guide you with My eye
He will lead us into the truth
and show of things to come
Through the Holy Spirit 
John 14:16,17
And I will pray the Father,
 and He will give you another Helper,
 that He may abide with you forever
the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, 
because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; 
but you know Him,
 for He dwells with you and will be in you.
 Ezekiel 36:27
I will put My Spirit within you 
and cause you to walk in My statutes, 
and you will keep 
My judgments and do them. 
The Word Helper is translated 
counselor (parakletos)
called along side to help
comforter, strengthener,
helper, advisor, advacate, intercessor 
ally and friend.
trust in the Holy Spirits voice
dont step back or doubt
be obedient.
He will never move outside of 
the Lords charactor
and is always one with the Word of God
someone who is called to walk along side
and communicate to us.
Psalm 28:7 PT
 You are my strength and my shield 
from every danger.
 When I fully trust in you,
 help is on the way.
 I jump for joy and burst forth with ecstatic, 
passionate praise!
 I will sing songs of 
what you mean to me!
Psalm 37:3,4 PT
 Keep trusting in the Lord 
and do what is right in his eyes.
 Fix your heart on the promises of God 
and you will be secure,
 feasting on his faithfulness.
   Make God the utmost delight
 and pleasure of your life,
 and he will provide for you 
what you desire the most.
 John 12:49,50 PT
 For I’m not speaking as someone 
who is self-appointed, 
but I speak by the authority of the Father 
himself who sent me, 
and who instructed me what to say.  
 And I know that the Father’s commands 
result  in eternal life,
 and that’s why I speak 
the very words I’ve heard him speak.”
He will tell us what He wants us to do 
we can not depend on others to do this
Hearing from the Lord
 should be a regular daily experience 
if we spend time with Him
we do this by spending time in the Word
meditating, memorizing.
Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law
 shall not depart from your mouth, 
but you shall meditate in it day and night,
 that you may observe to do
 according to all that is written in it. 
For then you will make your way prosperous, 
and then you will have good success.
As we hear His voice
we will know as it will agree with
His word 
As we delve into His word we will understand 
Gods charactor in all His ways 
Psalm 25:4,5
Show me Your ways, O Lord;
  Teach me Your paths. 
   Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
  For You are the God of my salvation;
  On You I wait all the day.
There is a point where we need to discern
Is the voice gentle and leading us
or
commanding and harsh
we need to hear encouragement
and hope in the leading
James 3:17,18
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, 
then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, 
full of mercy and good fruits,
 without partiality and without hypocrisy.   
Now the fruit of righteousness 
is sown in peace by those who make peace.
God always leads us but
the opposite is of satan
he drives you,
so learn to discern these 2 things
John 10:4,5

 know the differnce between 
conviction and condemnation with guilt.
The Lord never uses fear to motivate us
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, 
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
A key to intercession
is to listen
allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal
strongholds, special burdens, battle plans
actions to take and prayer strategy
is Gods desire for us as we 
mount up on wings of eagles.
alertness is a key as we stand guard
over those who we are entrusted to
Keep watching and waiting on Him
Learning to hear His voice and being sensative
to respond quickly to His call.
dont be upset if God is silent
just keep listening in faith
1 Peter 4:8,9
And above all things 
have fervent love for one another, 
for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”   
Be hospitable to one another 
without grumbling.
 Hebrews 4:11-12
So then we must give our all 
and be eager to experience this faith-rest life, 
so that no one falls short 
by following the same pattern 
of doubt and unbelief.
   For we have the living Word of God, 
which is full of energy,  
and it pierces more sharply 
than a two-edged sword.  
It will even penetrate to the very core 
of our being where soul and spirit, 
bone  and marrow meet!  
It interprets and reveals
 the true thoughts 
and secret motives of our hearts.
We must believe that listening to God 
is for everyone and that it is not difficult
or only for spiritually mature
trusting in Him will build in confidence 
as we learn recognise His voice
John 8:47 PT 
If you really knew God, 
you would listen, receive, and respond 
with faith to his words. 
But since you don’t listen 
and respond to what he says,
 it proves you don’t belong to him 
and you have no room
 for him in your hearts.”
The key here is
that God is spirit and that He speaks 
to us by His Holy Spirit
heart to heart
and alway through His Word 
Submitting to His will can be difficult
and understand His reasonin so
its safe to say there will be resistance
in some form and that this could be 
satan trying to disrupt us.
This is were we begin to 
bind and loose in the spirit.
before we start to pray
we need to take authority
to a point that we understand God's voice,
know His voice above the interference
we may be sensing.
This must be done in the Lords name.
The name of Jesus Christ
 Mattthew 16:19
And I will give you the keys 
of the kingdom of heaven, 
and whatever you bind on earth 
will be bound in heaven, 
and whatever you loose on earth 
will be loosed in heaven.”
James 4:7
Therefore submit to God. 
Resist the devil
 and he will flee from you.
 John 14:26-
But the Helper, 
the Holy Spirit, 
whom the Father will send in My name, 
He will teach you all things, 
and bring to your remembrance
 all things that I said to you.   
Peace I leave with you, 
My peace I give to you;
John 15:26,27;16:13,14
But when the Helper comes, 
whom I shall send to you
 from the Father, 
the Spirit of truth 
who proceeds from the Father, 
He will testify of Me.   
And you also will bear witness,
 because you have been with Me 
from the beginning.
 16:13.
However, when He,
 the Spirit of truth, 
has come, He will guide you into all truth; 
for He will not speak on His own authority,
 but whatever He hears He will speak; 
and He will tell you things to come.   
He will glorify Me,
 for He will take of what is Mine 
and declare it to you.
 1 Peter 5:8,9
Be sober, be vigilant;
 because your adversary the devil 
walks about like a roaring lion, 
seeking whom he may devour.   
Resist him, steadfast in the faith, 
knowing that the same sufferings 
are experienced by 
your brotherhood in the world
many time  
your own reasoning and will
seem to get in the way
and what has told you or shared
causes you to stop and faulter
instead of stepping into faith
and moving into what He has
shared or communicated.
trust is an important ingrediant
Proverbs 3:5-7
 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
  And lean not on your own understanding; 
   In all your ways acknowledge Him,
  And He shall direct your paths. 
   Do not be wise in your own eyes;
  Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit your works to the Lord,
  And your thoughts will be established.
1 Corinthians 2:14-16
But the natural man 
does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, 
for they are foolishness to him; 
nor can he know them, 
because they are spiritually discerned.   
But he who is spiritual judges all things, 
yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.   
For “who has known
 the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” 
But we have the mind of Christ.
James 4:7,8 PT 
So then, 
surrender to God. 
Stand up to the devil

Allow the Holy Spirit
free reign in your life.
God's Spirit will share with us 
communicating His will
but sometimes our will
or thought life rises up with
reasoning which can get in the way
It then we need to listen to our heart
trusting in The Lord for direction
from The Word of God
Psalm 119:125
 I need more revelation from your word
 to know more about you,
 for I’m in love with you!
Psalm 119:104
 Through Your precepts I get understanding;
  Therefore I hate every false way

Proverbs 3:5-11

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
  And lean not on your own understanding; 
   In all your ways acknowledge Him,
  And He shall direct your paths. 
   Do not be wise in your own eyes;
  Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 
   It will be health to your flesh,
  And strength to your bones. 
   Honor the Lord with your possessions,
  And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 
   So your barns will be filled with plenty,
  And your vats will overflow with new wine. 
   My son, 

Verse 11,12 PT

My child, when the Lord God speaks to you,
 never take his words lightly,
 and never be upset when he corrects you.
   For the Father’s discipline comes only
 from his passionate love

 and pleasure for you.
 Even when it seems like 

his correction is harsh,
 it’s still better than any 

father on earth gives to his child

Proverbs 16:3 PT

Before you do anything,
 put your trust totally in God 

and not in yourself.
 Then every plan

 you make will succeed.

 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 PT

 Someone living on an entirely human level  

rejects  the revelations of God’s Spirit,

 for they make no sense to him. 

He can’t understand the 

revelations of the Spirit 

because they are only discovered 

by the illumination of the Spirit.   

Those who live in the Spirit 

are able to carefully evaluate all things,

 and they are subject to 

the scrutiny of no one but God.   

For Who has ever intimately known

 the mind of the Lord Yahweh  

well enough to become his counselor?
  Christ has, 

and we possess Christ’s perceptions.

 James 4:7,8 PT

So then, surrender to God. 

Stand up to the devil

 and resist him 

and he will turn and run away from you.   

Move your heart closer and closer to God, 

and he will come even closer to you.  

But make sure you cleanse your life, 

you sinners,

 and keep your heart pure 

and stop doubting. 

If your having problem it can be 

hard to turn them off.

this is an important part though

and we must give them up to God

and have faith to believe

He is able

if we dont give them up to the Lord

but ponder on problems

Faith becomes static which

in turn can disrupt our

communication, cause confusion,

and mix up our spiritual understand

and interpritation from God.

Psalm 37:5 PT

 Give God the right to direct your life,
 and as you trust him along the way
 you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!

Psalm 42:5 PT

So then, my soul, 

why would you be depressed?
 Why would you sink into despair?
 Just keep hoping and waiting on God, 

your Savior.
 For no matter what, 

I will still sing with praise,
 for living before his face

 is my saving grace! 

 Isaiah 26:3,4

You will keep him in perfect peace,
  Whose mind is stayed on You,
  Because he trusts in You. 
   Trust in the Lord forever,
  For in Yah, the Lord, 

is everlasting strength.

Philippians 2:4,5 PT

Abandon every display of selfishness.

 Possess a greater concern

 for what matters to others 

instead of your own interests.   

And consider the example that Jesus, 

the Anointed One, has set before us. 

Let His mindset become your motivation.

 Philippians 4:6,7

Be anxious for nothing, 

but in everything by 

prayer and supplication, 

with thanksgiving, 

let your requests be made known to God;   

and the peace of God,

 which surpasses all understanding, 

will guard your hearts 

and minds through Christ Jesus.

Pour out all your worries

 and stress upon him 

and leave them there,

 for he always tenderly 

cares for you.

One of the more important things

to remember is that 

hearing is passive and

listening is active

Our minds must be focused

on what The Lord is saying.

use your mental effort and attention

we must understand that this is 

a taking ground action

so give your attention 

because the more revelation

of God's word,

the more of a threat we are

to the kingdom of darkness.

As we soak up more revelation

we bring heaven to earth

and darkness runs away

Psalm 37:7 PT

Quiet your heart in his presence and pray;
 keep hope alive as you long for God 

 to come through for you.
 And don’t think for a moment 

that the wicked in their prosperity
 are better off than you.

 Proverbs 4:4-9

He also taught me, and said to me:
  “Let your heart retain my words;
  Keep my commands, and live. 
   Get wisdom! Get understanding!
  Do not forget, 

nor turn away from

 the words of my mouth. 
   Do not forsake her, 

and she will preserve you;
  Love her, and she will keep you. 
   Wisdom is the principal thing;
  Therefore get wisdom.
  And in all your getting,

 get understanding. 
   Exalt her, 

and she will promote you;
  She will bring you honor, 

when you embrace her. 
   She will place on your head 

an ornament of grace;
  A crown of glory 

she will deliver to you.”

Listen carefully, my dear child, 

to everything that I teach you,
 and pay attention to all that I have to say.

So above all, 

guard the affections of your heart,
 for they affect all that you are.
 Pay attention to the welfare

 of your innermost being,
 for from there

 flows the wellspring of life.

2 Corinthians 10-12 PT

But God now unveils these profound 

realities to us by the Spirit.  

Yes, he has revealed to us 

his inmost heart and deepest mysteries 

through the Holy Spirit,

 who constantly explores all things.   

After all, who can really see 

into a person’s heart 

and know his hidden impulses 

except for that person’s spirit?

 So it is with God. 

His thoughts and secrets 

are only fully understood by his Spirit, 

the Spirit of God.
     For we did not receive

 the spirit of this world system 

but the Spirit of God, 

so that we might come to understand

 and experience all that grace 

has lavished upon us

Alway remember this is 

a two way conversation.

When we have finished asking

we need to be still

and wait on Him.

be attentative to Him as you 

would an inspiring great friend

who has some very important 

information to share.

Numbers 9:8

And Moses said to them, 

“Stand still, that I may hear 

what the Lord will command 

concerning you.”

Psalm 18:8 PT

God, all at once 

you turned on a floodlight for me!
 You are the revelation-light

 in my darkness,
 and in your brightness 

I can see the path ahead.

Psalm 27:14 PT

Here’s what I’ve learned

 through it all:
 Don’t give up; 

don’t be impatient;
 be entwined as one with the Lord.
 Be brave and courageous,

 and never lose hope.
 Yes, keep on waiting

for he will never disappoint you!

 Psalm 31:24 PT

So cheer up! 

Take courage all you who love him.
 Wait for him to break through for you,

 all who trust in him!

 WE may find at this point

we need to write

begin to listen to your heart

for ideas and inner thoughts.

may be impressions or

dreams and visions.

write them all down so

you can ponder on them later.

revelation of these things may

take time and if they are not

writen down there

may be a tendency to forget.

there may even be more to add

as you meditate what the Lord

has already given you.

as you run over what you've recorded

patterns begin to fit into place

prays will be answered

different picture will bring revelations

and different means to us.

1 Corinthians 2:9,10

 Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
  Nor have entered 

into the heart of man
  The things which God 

has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them 

to us through His Spirit. 

For the Spirit searches all things, 

yes, the deep things of God.

Proverbs 9:10,11

The fear of the Lord

 is the beginning of wisdom,
  And the knowledge of the Holy One 

 is understanding. 
   For by Me your days

 will be multiplied,
  And years of life 

will be added to you.

Psalm 16;7-9

The fear of the Lord

 is the beginning of wisdom,
  And the knowledge of 

the Holy One is understanding. 
   For by me your days 

will be multiplied,
  And years of life

 will be added to you.

Exodus 17:14,15

Then the Lord said to Moses, 

“Write this for a memorial 

in the book

 and recount it in the hearing of Joshua,

 that I will utterly blot out 

the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”   

And Moses built an altar and called its name, 

The-Lord-Is-My-Banner;

At this point when we have

 writen something down

dont question it or think it

wasent from God.

allow God to confirm and reveal

matbe through past experiences

or this may be 

something of the future

John16:13-15

However, when He, 

the Spirit of truth, has come,

 He will guide you into all truth;

 for He will not speak 

on His own authority, 

but whatever He hears

 He will speak; 

and He will tell you things to come.  

 He will glorify Me, 

for He will take of what is Mine

 and declare it to you.   

All things that the Father has are Mine. 

Therefore I said 

that He will take of Mine 

and declare it to you

2 Corinthians 13:1

By the mouth of two or three witnesses 

every word shall be established.”

Now this will be a time of waiting

on the Lord.

Dont try to work things out

the Lord will confirm 

and peace will flood our hearts

as He answers us

 Ephisians 1:17-19

 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, 

the Father of glory,

 may give to you the spirit of 

wisdom and revelation

 in the knowledge of Him,  

 the eyes of your understanding

 being enlightened;

 that you may know what is

 the hope of His calling, 

what are the riches of the glory 

of His inheritance in the saints,  

 and what is the exceeding greatness 

of His power toward us who believe,

 according to the working 

of His mighty power

John 10:4

And when he brings out his own sheep,

Daniel 2:22,23

He reveals deep and secret things;
  He knows what is in the darkness,
  And light dwells with Him. 
   “I thank You and praise You,
  O God of my fathers;
  You have given me 

wisdom and might,
  And have now made known to me 

what we asked of You,
  For You have made known

 to us the king's demand.” 

Psalm 27:14

Wait on the Lord;
  Be of good courage,
  And He shall strengthen your heart;
  Wait, I say, on the Lord!

 to often we can receive something

and get so excited in wanting to

tell others that we dont

realise The Lord hasent finished

we must allow Him to develope

the message he want to impart

Its important to not make things happen 

but to wait till you know He is finished.

 Proverbs 16:9 PT

Within your heart

 you can make plans for your future,
 but the Lord chooses

 the steps you take to get there.

2 Corinthinans 4:6

For it is the God 

who commanded light to shine 

out of darkness, 

who has shone in our hearts 

to give the light of the knowledge

 of the glory of God 

in the face of Jesus Christ.

 2 Peter 3:9 PT

This means that, 

contrary to man’s perspective,

 the Lord is not late 

with his promise to return, 

as some measure lateness. 

But rather, his “delay”

 simply reveals his loving patience 

toward you,

 because he does not want 

any to perish but all

 to come to repentance.

The Lord will share

no different tat the same way 

we share with a close friend

He expeccts the same confidence,

discresion and faithfullness.

The more He can trust in us

the more He shares 

the deep itimate things

Isaiah 45:3

I will give you the treasures of darkness
  And hidden riches of secret places,
  That you may know that I, the Lord,
  Who call you by your name,
  Am the God of Israel

Psalm 25:14

The secret of the Lord

 is with those who fear Him,
  And He will show them His covenant.

Genesis 18:17

And the Lord said, 

Shall I hide from Abraham 

that thing which I do

Sometime we may receive

a song in our heart.

The Holy Spirit may cause 

a song to build up which 

will be a key to something

He wants us to use.

when we realise this we 

can meditate on the words

as they come to mind

 great advantage could be 

in the words for victory 

or faith to reach an advantage.

  Exodus 15:1

Then Moses and the children of Israel 

sang this song to the Lord,

 and spoke, saying:  

“I will sing to the Lord,
  For He has triumphed gloriously!
  The horse and its rider
  He has thrown into the sea!

2 Chronicles 20:21

And when he had consulted with the people, 

he appointed those who should sing to the Lord,

 and who should praise the beauty of holiness, 

as they went out before the army and were saying:
  “Praise the Lord,
  For His mercy endures forever.”

Psalm 32:7

You are my hiding place;
  You shall preserve me from trouble;
  You shall surround me 

with songs of deliverance.
  Selah

Psalm 40:3 PT

A new song 

for a new day rises up in me
 every time I think about 

how he breaks through for me!
 Ecstatic praise pours 

out of my mouth until
 everyone hears how 

God has set me free.
 Many will see his miracles;
 they’ll stand in awe of God 

and fall in love with him!

Psalm 42:8

The Lord will command

 His lovingkindness in the daytime,
  And in the night His song shall be with me

  A prayer to the God of my life.

Psalm 77:6 PT

 Then I remembered 

the worship songs I used to sing
 in the night seasons,
 and my heart began to

 fill again with thoughts of you.
 So my spirit went out 

once more in search of you.

Colossians 3:16 PT

Let the word of Christ live  in you richly,

 flooding you with all wisdom.

 Apply the Scriptures as you teach 

and instruct one another with the Psalms, 

and with festive praises,  

and with prophetic songs

 given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, 

so sing to God with all your hearts! 

Ephisians 5:19 PT

And your hearts will overflow 

with a joyful song to the Lord Jehovah. 

Keep speaking to each other 

with words of Scripture, 

singing the Psalms 

with praises and spontaneous

 songs given by the Spirit!

Dreams and Visions are an

intergal part.

after awhile of these a pattern

will be noticed and certain

pictures or even circumstances

will begin to mean something

even interpritaion of dream

caution may be neccisary

as not all dreams are from God

but those that are will stand out

giving us a deeper understanding

and impression.

most of them will be remembered

beyound waking up.

alway remember to write them down

keep writing material by your bed

for such an occasion even if

you dont understand them

straight away.

The Holy Spirit will highlight

ones He needs you to ponder on.

Daniel 2:19,20

Then the secret was revealed to 

Daniel in a night vision. 

So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
     Daniel answered and said:
  “Blessed be the name of God

 forever and ever,
  For wisdom and might are His. 

Daniel 4:18

This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, 

have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar,

 declare its interpretation, 

since all the wise men of my kingdom 

are not able to make known to me 

the interpretation; 

but you are able,

 for the Spirit of 

the Holy God is in you.”

Matthew 1:20

But while he thought about these things,

 behold, an angel of the Lord

 appeared to him in a dream,

 saying, “Joseph, son of David,

 do not be afraid to take to you 

Mary your wife, 

for that which is conceived

 in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 2:13

Now when they had departed, 

behold, an angel of the Lord appeared 

to Joseph in a dream, saying,

 “Arise, take the young Child

 and His mother, flee to Egypt, 

and stay there until I bring you word; 

for Herod will seek the young Child 

to destroy Him.”

Sometimes we will come across

times of silence when we pray

just be quiet and minister

to the Lord with praise and worship

The Holy Spirit may just want to

worship through us to the Lord

Often this is time of refreshing

a place where we can just bask

in the Lords presence because

we Love Him so.

Psalm 23:2,3

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
  He leads me beside the still waters. 
   He restores my soul;
  He leads me in the paths of righteousness
  For His name's sake.

Psalm 96:9

Oh, worship the Lord 

in the beauty of holiness!
  Tremble before Him,

 all the earth. 

Isaiah 30:15

 “In returning and rest you shall be saved;
  In quietness and confidence

 shall be your strength.”
