Meditation

Prayer and warfare must be solidly based upon
 faith in God and a relationship with the God
 whose Word we declare.

 “Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us,
we have confidence before God and receive
 from him anything we ask, because we obey
 his commands and do what pleases him
 (1 John 3:21-22).
The following verses will help spiritual warriors
 come to a place of faith and readiness
 so that our prayers can be truly powerful and effective.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
  Be acceptable in Your sight,
  O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

 Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
  Says the Lord of hosts.
Zech 4:6

 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation.
The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
 Mark 14:38

 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
Luke 18:1

 Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”
Luke 22:46

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:1

 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.   The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.   Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.   But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Romans 13:11-14

 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.   For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
2 Corinthians 10:3-4

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,   redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:11,15,16

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;   meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains,   that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
Colossians 4:2-4

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.   No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
2 Timothy 2:3,4,10

 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
Titus 2:11,12

 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,   looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1,2

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;   as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;   but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
1 Peter 1:13-15

 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
1 Peter 4:7

Scriptures on Christ's God given Authority

“I was watching in the night visions,
  And behold, One like the Son of Man,
  Coming with the clouds of heaven!
  He came to the Ancient of Days,
  And they brought Him near before Him.
   Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
  That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
  His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
  Which shall not pass away,
  And His kingdom the one
  Which shall not be destroyed.

And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,   for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Matthew 7:28,29

And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”
Mark 1:22,27

As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
John 10:15,18

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,   that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,   and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.   For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.   And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.   And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence
Colossians 1:15-18

   “He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
  They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels’—as I also have received from My Father;

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,   by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,   and having a High Priest over the house of God,   let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.   Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Hebrew 10:19-23

 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,   but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.   He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

  And to open its seals;

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,   because
  “All flesh is as grass,
  And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.

   But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

The Weapon Of Praise

Three important results flow from our praise: God receives glory. Our faith is increased and we are energized by the joy of the Lord that accompanies praise.
The enemy is terrified and his plans are confounded
(2 Chronicles 20:22).

 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
  So shall I be saved from my enemies.

 Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles,
  And sing praises to Your name.

2 Samuel 22:4,50

O Lord, our Lord,
  How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
  Who have set Your glory above the heavens!
   Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
  You have ordained strength,
  Because of Your enemies,
  That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
Psalm 8:1,2
But let the righteous be glad;
  Let them rejoice before God;
  Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.
   Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
  Extol Him who rides on the clouds,
  By His name Yah,
  And rejoice before Him.
Psalm 68:3,4
 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
  Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
   Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
  Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
   Declare His glory among the nations,
  His wonders among all peoples.
   For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
  He is to be feared above all gods.
Psalm 96:1-4

Praise the Lord!
  Sing to the Lord a new song,
  And His praise in the assembly of saints.
   Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
  Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
   Let them praise His name with the dance;
  Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
  And a two-edged sword in their hand,
   To execute vengeance on the nations,
  And punishments on the peoples;
   To bind their kings with chains,
  And their nobles with fetters of iron;
   To execute on them the written judgment—
  This honor have all His saints.
  Praise the Lord!

Psalm 149

Praise the Lord!
  Praise God in His sanctuary;
  Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
   Praise Him for His mighty acts;
  Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
   Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
  Praise Him with the lute and harp!
   Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
  Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
   Praise Him with loud cymbals;
  Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
   Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
  Praise the Lord!

saying with a loud voice:
  “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
  To receive power and riches and wisdom,
  And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
     And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

 “Blessing and honor and glory and power
  Be to Him who sits on the throne,
  And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

Revelation 5:12,13

 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:
  “Great and marvelous are Your works,
  Lord God Almighty!
  Just and true are Your ways,
  O King of the saints!
   Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
  For You alone are holy.
  For all nations shall come and worship before You,
  For Your judgments have been manifested.”

Revelations 15:3,4

 Lord, strengthen us to praise You no matter what is going on around us. You have created all things. You have authority over all, and You alone are worthy to receive all praise and adoration. Teach us the power of praising You even before we see answers to our prayers. In my waiting times, help me to keep my eyes on You and not on circumstances. I know You are forever faithful! Amen.

we need to be in sympathy with the Father
Remember that battles aren’t always won instantly; we must be persistent. And each battle requires a different strategy,
for that, we need the guidance and agreement of the Holy Spirit.
 Ask the Lord for the right prayer support, be it one person or a team, who will agree in prayer with the way God has shown you to pray. Find partners who will remain steadfast and pray with you until victory is accomplished.

Lord, thank You that we can come fearlessly, boldly, confidently to You in prayer. Give us insight and understanding to pray what is on Your heart. we give You praise, in Jesus’ name, amen.

A Fast with Prayer

Lord, Help us heed Your call to fast and pray and seek your direction. We know fasting can accomplish much in us, as well as in the situation or people for whom we are interceding. Grant guidance for how long to fast and for Your strength to do it. Our spirit is willing, but our body is often frail. Give us Your wisdom, Lord, and help us to glorify You through our fasting.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
 Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
  To loose the bonds of wickedness,
  To undo the heavy burdens,
  To let the oppressed go free,
  And that you break every yoke?

Isaiah 58:6

Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.
Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God,   yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.   And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand

with fasting, weeping, and wailing
and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

to Him who was able to save
Him from death, and was heard
because of His godly fear,
Hebrews 5:7

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.   Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.   Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
James 4:8-10

Lord, You see our tears as we identify with the hurting, lost ones for whom we intercede. Give us a heart of compassion, and help us to pray with discernment and wisdom for the ones You put on our heart.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

  For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
   For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
  And holy is His name.
   And His mercy is on those who fear Him
  From generation to generation.
   He has shown strength with His arm;
  He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
   He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
  And exalted the lowly.
   He has filled the hungry with good things,
  And the rich He has sent away empty.

  In remembrance of His mercy,
   As He spoke to our fathers,
  To Abraham and to his seed forever.”

Lord, thank You for the gift of laughter!

 as You bring deliverance and victory through Your mighty hand.
Thank You for the times when we can shout for joy and take spoils from the enemy.
 We praise You for Your mighty works!
 In Jesus’ name, amen.

 The Enemy is defeated

 Spiritual warriors need to remind
themselves and the enemy that
his defeat is an irreversible fact.
This is best done by wielding
 the proclamations of God’s Word against our adversary,
whose ruin was sealed at the cross.
 Satan is a defeated foe, with a crushed head.
There is no power in him,
nor are there any means available to him
to reach and unseat the Victor of Calvary
 now seated at the right hand of the Father.
It is not for us to fight for victory.
Our fight is from victory;
and from this vantage point,
empowered with Christ’s might,
and completely enclosed in the whole armor of God,
the powers of evil are compelled
 to back off as we resist them.1 Scripture encourages us to look beyond the difficult or seemingly impossible state of affairs that Satan uses to try to weaken our faith. We must fix our spiritual eyes on Jesus
the author and perfecter of our faith”
(Hebrews 12:2)
who secures the victory.
By believing the promises of God
 instead of the lies of the enemy,
 we cooperate with God’s plan for triumph
and confound the enemy’s plan.

 for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’
Deuteronomy  20:4

The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
Deuteronomy 28:7

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
 that you may know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of
His inheritance in the saints,
and what is the exceeding greatness of
His power toward us who believe,
 according to the working of His mighty power
 which He worked in Christ
when He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
far above all principality
and power and might and dominion,
and every name that is named,
not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
     And He put all things under His feet,

and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
Ephesians 1:18-22

 But if you remain in me
and my words remain in you,
you may ask for anything you want,
 and it will be granted!
When you produce much fruit,
you are my true disciples.
 This brings great glory to my Father.
John 15:7,8

For Christ must reign until he
 humbles all his enemies beneath his feet.
And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.
1 Cor 15:25,26

And Abraham’s faith did not weaken,
 even though, at about 100 years of age,
he figured his body was as good as dead
and so was Sarah’s womb.
   Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise.

In fact, his faith grew stronger,
and in this he brought glory to God.
 He was fully convinced that
God is able to do whatever he promises.
Roman 4:19-21

we pray that the light of God
will illuminate the eyes of our imagination,
 flooding us with light,
until we experience
 the full revelation of the hope of his calling
that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances
that he finds in us, his holy ones!
    we pray that we will continually experience

the immeasurable greatness of
God’s power made available to us through faith.
Then our lives will be an advertisement
of this immense power as it works through us!
This is the mighty power that was released when
God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him
 to the place of highest honor and supreme authority
 in the heavenly realm!
  And now he is exalted as first
 above every ruler, authority, government,
 and realm of power in existence!
He is gloriously enthroned over
every name that is ever praised,
not only in this age,
 but in the age that is coming!
     And he alone is the leader

and source of everything needed in the church.
 God has put everything beneath
the authority of Jesus Christ
and has given him the highest rank
above all others.
Ephesians 1:18-22 (Passion Translation)

 Thank You, Lord,
that as we pray and do battle according to Your will,
we know triumph is assured.
Give us strength to stand in faith,
knowing Your power is greater than
 all the power of the evil one.
we lift up a shout of praise to
declare that the victory is won
in Jesus’ name,
amen.

Healing

O Lord my God, I cried out to You,
  And You healed me.
   O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave;
  You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Psalm 30:2-3

 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
  And forget not all His benefits:
   Who forgives all your iniquities,
  Who heals all your diseases,
   Who redeems your life from destruction,
  Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,
   Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
  So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Psalm 103:2-5

 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
  And He saved them out of their distresses.
   He sent His word and healed them,
  And delivered them from their destruction's

Psalm 107:19,20

 My son, give attention to my words;
  Incline your ear to my sayings.
   Do not let them depart from your eyes;
  Keep them in the midst of your heart;
   For they are life to those who find them,
  And health to all their flesh.

Proverbs 4:20-22

 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
  Save me, and I shall be saved,
  For You are my praise.

Jer 17:14

 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
Matthew 4:23

 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”   But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
Matthew 9:21,22

And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
  They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
     Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

Matthew 9:28-30

Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.   So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.
Matthew 15:30,31

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;   they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:17,18

But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
Luke 9:11

And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch.   Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly.   And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women,   so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.   Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
Acts 5:12-16

And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother's womb, who had never walked.   This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed,   said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.
Acts 14:8-10

Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,   so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
Acts 19:11,12

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.   And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.   Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
James 5:14-16

 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness
by whose stripes you were healed.
1Peter 2:24

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper
 in all things and be in health,
just as your soul prospers.
3 John 1:2

In the name of Jesus Christ, by the authority of His shed blood, we come against every plot of Satan against our body. We thank You, Lord, that Your Word energizes and gives life and that You are giving that life to us as we pray. Father, bring healing and wholeness to the tissue, joints, marrow and fiber, to the blood system and to the other systems of the body affected
by this illness. May the medications we are taking have a beneficial effect, and all negative side effects be cancelled in Jesus’ name. Lord, cause our bodies to function as You created it to function.
We declare that the enemy’s plan of destruction is null and void because Christ defeated him at the cross.
We cover ourselves with the blood of Jesus and ask You to strengthen us with might in the inner man.
We call upon the life that is in Jesus Christ
 to cause the enemy to flee.
We thank You for victory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Deliverance

(the mind set to break,
Satan sows the tares in the wheat
bad thoughts among good thoughts.)

 He who sins is of the devil,

for the devil has sinned from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Whoever has been born of God does not sin,
 for His seed remains in him;
and he cannot sin,
 because he has been born of God.
1 John 3:8,9

 Behold, I give you the authority to
 trample on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy,
and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this,
that the spirits are subject to you,
but rather rejoice because your names
are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:19,20

 (a key here is to find the door
that's been left open
and close it in the enemies face
some open door could be:
not following Gods word, unforgiveness,
greed, occult, substance abuse,
rebelling against spiritual authority,
spiritual pride)

What good does it do for you to say I am your Lord and Master if what I teach you is not put into practice?   Let me describe the one who truly follows me and does what I say.   He is like a man who chooses the right place to build a house and then lays a deep and secure foundation. When the storms and floods rage against that house, it continues to stand strong and unshaken through the tempest, for it has been wisely built on the right foundation.   But the one who has heard my teaching and does not obey it is like a man who builds a house without laying any foundation whatsoever. When the storms and floods rage against that house, it will immediately collapse and become a total loss. Which of these two builders will you be?”
Luke 6:46-49 (Passion)

But Peter said, “Ananias,
why has Satan filled your heart to lie
 to the Holy Spirit and keep back
  part of the price of the land for yourself?
Acts 5:3

 If you freely forgive anyone for anything, then I also forgive him. And if I have forgiven anything, I did so for you before the face of Christ,   so that we would not be exploited  by the adversary, Satan, for we know his clever schemes.
1 Corinthians 2:10-11  (Passion)

But don’t let the passion of your emotions  lead you to sin!
Don’t let anger control you
or be fuel for revenge, not for even a day.
Don’t give the slanderous accuser, the Devil,
an opportunity to manipulate you!
If any one of you has stolen from someone else,
never do it again.
 Instead, be industrious, earning an honest living,
 and then you’ll have enough to bless those in need.
     And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth,

but instead let your words become beautiful gifts
that encourage others;
do this by speaking words of grace to help them.
     The Holy Spirit of God has sealed you

in Jesus Christ until you experience your full salvation.
 So never grieve the Spirit of God
or take for granted his holy influence in your life.
 Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums,
 revenge, profanity, and insults.
But instead be kind
and affectionate toward one another.
 Has God graciously forgiven you?
 Then graciously forgive one another
 in the depths of Christ’s love.
Ephesians 4:26-32 (passion)

 Be well balanced and always alert,
because your enemy,
the devil, roams around incessantly,
 like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour.
  Take a decisive stand against him
and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith.
 For you know that your believing
 brothers and sisters around the world
are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure.
  And then, after your brief suffering,
 the God of all loving grace,
who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ,
will personally and powerfully restore you
and make you stronger than ever.
Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.
And he has all the power needed to do this
forever!  Amen.
1 Peter 5:8-10

 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God,
surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Or how can one enter a strong man's house
and plunder his goods,
unless he first binds the strong man?
 And then he will plunder his house.
Matthew  12:28,29

  And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16:19

“Without God, we cannot. Without us, God will not.”

(Gods Request)

 He saw that there was no man,
  And wondered that there was no intercessor;
  Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him;
  And His own righteousness, it sustained Him.

Isaiah 59:16

 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.
Ezekiel 22:30

 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
  And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10

My delightfully loved friends,
when our hearts don’t condemn us,
 we have a bold freedom to speak face-to-face with God.
 And whatever we ask of him we receive,
because we keep his commands.
And by our beautiful intentions
we continue to do what brings pleasure to him.
1 John 3:21,22 (passion)

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
2 Corinthians 4:4

in humility correcting those who are in opposition,
 if God perhaps will grant them repentance,
so that they may know the truth,
 and that they may come to their senses
and escape the snare of the devil,
having been taken captive by him to do his will.
2 Timothy 2:25,26

 and the cares of this world,
the deceitfulness of riches,
 and the desires for other things entering in
choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
Mark 4:19

Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest
to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Matthew 9:38

 Most of all, I’m writing to encourage you
 to pray with gratitude to God.
Pray for all men with all forms of prayers
and requests as you intercede with intense passion.
And pray for every political leader  and representative,
so that we would be able to live tranquil,
undisturbed lives, as we worship the
 awe-inspiring God with pure hearts.
  It is pleasing to our Savior-God to pray for them.
 He longs for everyone to embrace his life
and return to the full knowledge of the truth
 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (passion)

Call to Me, and I will answer you,
 and show you great and mighty things,
which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3

 ...always laboring fervently for you in prayers,
that you may stand perfect
and complete in all the will of God
Colossians 4:12

And I will ask the Father
and he will give you another Savior,
 the Holy Spirit of Truth,
who will be to you a friend just like me
and he will never leave you.
 The world won’t receive him because
 they can’t see him or know him.
 But you will know him intimately,
 because he will make his home in you
and will live inside you.
John 14:16,17

And in a similar way,
 the Holy Spirit takes hold of us
in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness.
 For example,
at times we don’t even know how to pray,
 or know the best things to ask for.
But the Holy Spirit rises up within us
to super-intercede  on our behalf,
 pleading to God with emotional sighs
 too deep for words.
     God, the searcher of the heart,

 knows fully our longings,
yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit,
because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads
 before God for us, his holy ones,
in perfect harmony with God’s plan
and our destiny.
Romans 8:26,27

 And these signs will follow those who believe:
 In My name they will cast out demons;
 they will speak with new tongues;
 they will take up serpents;
 and if they drink anything deadly,
 it will by no means hurt them;
 they will lay hands on the sick,
 and they will recover.”
Mark 16:17,18

 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?   Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?   If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
Luke 11:11-13

 But you shall receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
 and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

 They were all filled and equipped  with the Holy Spirit
and were inspired  to speak in tongues
empowered by the Spirit to speak in
languages they had never learned!
Acts 2:4

 And when they had prayed,
 the place where they were assembled together was shaken;
and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit,
and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4:31

 And when Paul had laid hands on them,
the Holy Spirit came upon them,
and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
Acts 19:6

For he who speaks in a tongue
 does not speak to men but to God,
 for no one understands him;
 however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
1 Corinthians 14:2

 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays,
but my understanding is unfruitful.
What is the conclusion then?
I will pray with the spirit,
 and I will also pray with the understanding.
I will sing with the spirit,
and I will also sing with the understanding
1 Corinthians 14:14,15

  Confess your trespasses to one another,
 and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.   Elijah was a man with a nature like ours,
 and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain;
 and it did not rain on the land for
three years and six months.
And he prayed again,
and the heaven gave rain,
and the earth produced its fruit.
James 5:16-18

 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners;
and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:8

Favor

 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,   the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,   and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power   which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,   far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
     And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,   which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 1:17-23

 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.   For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12

 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,  Because the Lord has anointed Me
  To preach good tidings to the poor;
  He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
  To proclaim liberty to the captives,
  And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Isaiah 61:1-

 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
Luke 8:15

 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—   and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,   for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Ephesians 6:18-20
