Divine Intervention: “Thy Kingdom Come”

Divine Intervention:
“Thy Kingdom Come”
I N T RO D U C T I O N
Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is in you” (Luke 17:21).
He was speaking of the spiritual kingdom. This kingdom is
not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the
Holy Ghost (Rom. 14:17).
It is easy to get caught up in our present-day circumstances
and forget that there is a plan that exceeds personal goals. In this
prayer I have taken the opportunity to focus on our common goal:
the time when Jesus returns to establish the visible Kingdom of
God here on earth, and the government shall be upon His
shoulders (Isa. 9:6). The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in
power (1 Cor. 4:20).
P RAY ER
Father, in Jesus’ name, I pray according to Matthew 6:10,
“Thy Kingdom come.” I am looking for the soon coming of our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
To d ay we are [even here and] now Your ch i l d ren; it is not
yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [here a fter], but we
know that when He comes and is manifested, we shall [as God’s
ch i l d ren] resemble and be like Hi m , for we shall see Him just as He
[ really] is. You said that eve ryone who has this hope [resting] on
Him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure — ch a s t e,
undefiled, guiltless.
For the grace of God — His unmerited favor and blessing —
has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the
eternal salvation for all mankind. It has trained us to reject and
renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate)
desires; to live discreet (tempera t e, self- controlled), upright,
devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world; awaiting and
looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope,
even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
the Messiah, the Anointed One.
For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to
meet the Lord in the air: And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
I thank You, Father, that the Lord shall come (to earth) and
all the holy ones [saints and angels] with Him; and the Lord shall
be King over all the earth; in that Day He shall be one Lord, and
His name one. The government shall be upon His shoulder.
Father, I thank You that we shall join the great voices in
heaven saying, “The kingdoms of this world are become the
kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for
ever and ever.”
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and power and the glory
and the victory and the majesty; for all that is in the heave n s
and the earth is Yours; Yours is the Kingdom , O Lo rd ; and
Yours it is to be exalted as Head over all. T hy Kingdom come.
Hallelujah! Amen.
