Chapter 5
Remember the father is seeking for us to stand in the gap
The Holy Spirit is drawing us to a standing point
as we go forward we may at some point
as we stand in the gate be reminded
of someone or something to reach out to.
If a scripture opens this then pause for a while
and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal it.
Turning from Fear of Being Hurt by God 67
Heart, listen to what we are saying.
Let ourself believe, love,
and be thankful for the truth!
Heart, love that we don’t have to stay away from God.
And, God please keep helping us to get closer to You.
Heart, even when it hurts us,
be confident that what is best for us is
more intimacy with God
Heart let ourself hear, believe,
and love that God is good.
God is so good that He makes even the bad and
horrible things that happen work out in our lives
for the “ultimate end of good”
for the “ultimate end of good”
(Rom. 8:28).
And, God does not betray His people!
It is evil that lies to us
and makes us feel betrayed by God.
Heart hear and believe that it is evil that is evil,
NOT God!
Evil lies and betrays us.
God does NOT do that!
Heart let ourself believe that what it seems like God did
(or, didn’t do)
doesn’t prevent us from being fully
convinced that God is being good toward us.
And, we are training our heart to be confident
that God is exceptionally good toward us
and we will believe it.
Heart refuse to panic
submit into believing these
wonderful truths about God
..
(Heart, hear, believe, and love it as the truth!)
..
Heart, rejoice that what happened when
(a painful experience from
our recent or distant past),
doesn’t` prevent us from receiving
God’s loving presence.
And even with that,
God has NOT betrayed us,
rejoice that we don’t have to hide from God,
give up, and then settle for hopelessness and despair.
It is safer for us to love God and be near to Him.
It is unsafe to be away
.
(Heart, love His closeness!)

Heart, rejoice in the truth.
we don’t have to blame God for what
we couldn’t (or, can’t) control
we repent of feeding on revenge by
staying away from God because of it
.
(Heart, believe and love the truth!)
.
Heart, rejoice in the truth that
we don't have to blame
God for whoever did wrong
we delight to turn away from
blaming God for their behavior
.
(Heart, to believe it!)
.
Heart, rejoice in the truth that
we don't have to feed ourself
on the power we could feel
from staying bitter at God
and withholding forgiveness
God doesn’t want to hurt us
just for the sake of hurting us.
God is completely and totally good.
It is evil that is evil.
It is best to be near
because God soothes us best
Heart, turn from blaming God for
(some bad experience) .
Believe God.
Trust that we are near to Him,
that He is here.
Believe that God is good,
and that He wants what is good for us.
Heart, rejoice in the truth
that we are free to be completely
confident that it is good and safe
and right for us to draw near to God
we renounce fear.
By faith we are drawing near right now.
we are trusting that we
are sitting with God
and He is reaching into us
and is healing our hurts
.

Heart, we are humbling ourself
into believing this truth:
God
“has not despised the afflicted;
neither has He hidden His face from him”
(Psa. 22:24).
“My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped”
(Psa. 28:7)

Heart, we repent of self-protection
that keeps us from believing that God loves us:
“the Lord loves His people”
(2 Chron 2:11);
“great is your love toward me”
(Psa. 86:13)
Heart, repent of holding back
from drawing near,
staying before the Lord,
and looking at Him.
we will not hold back
because of pressure we feel from people,
or Christian leaders,
or from the demonic.

Heart, listen to what we are saying.
Let ourself believe, love,
and be thankful for the truth!
We are confident that God is very good.
It is evil that is evil.
we believe in
“the tender mercy of our God”
(Luke 1:78).
God is good and He wants what is GOOD for us.
Heart, we are confident
and secure because of the
extreme purity of God’s goodness toward us.
“Though the fig tree should not blossom
and there be no fruit on the vines,
though the yield of the
olive should fail
and the fields produce no food,
though the flock should be cut off
from the fold and there be
no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will exult in the Lord,
I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength,
and He has made my feet
like hinds' feet,
and makes me walk on my high places.”
(Hab. 3:17-19)

Heart, we repent of self-protection toward God.
The Lord is very good toward us!
we are confident because
IT IS WRITTEN:
“none of those who take refuge
in Him will be condemned”
(Psa. 34:22).
“When we are afraid, we will put our trust in You
What can mere man do to me?”
(Psa. 56:3,4).
Heart, let ourself hear and
believe that God is good and
He does NOT betray His people!
One of the main goals of evil
is to lie to us until we feel betrayed by God.
Heart, hear and let ourself believe that
It is evil that is evil, NOT God!
Evil lies and betrays us.
God does NOT do that!

Heart, we are confident and secure because
“God is our helper;
The Lord is the sustainer of our soul.”
(Psa. 54:4).

(Heart, let ourself feel confidence
because of the truth!)
.
Heart, we are confident and we are secure
because it is just like they said in the Bible;
“Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us
from the furnace of blazing fire;
and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
But even if He does not,
let it be known to you, O king,
that we are not going to serve your gods or
worship the golden image that you have set up”
(Dan. 3:17,18)

Heart, It is safe for us to
trust God because
“those who know Your name
will put their trust in You, for You,
O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You”
(Psalm. 9:10).
IT IS WRITTEN
that
“He will not fail you”
(Deut. 4:31)
It is far safer for us to
trust the Lord than to hold back!
Heart, we are confident and secure
because even though life can be hard,
God is still very good toward us:
“Come, let us return to the Lord.
For He has torn us, but He will heal us;
He has wounded us, but He will bandage us”
(Hos. 6:1).
“you, O Lord, are a compassionate
and gracious God,
slow to anger,
abounding in love and faithfulness.”
(Psa. 86:15 NIV).

Heart, we are confident and secure because,
IT IS WRITTEN:
“I will never desert you,
nor will I ever forsake you”
(Heb. 13:5).
Lord, YOU are
“the Shepherd and
Guardian of your souls.”

Heart,
“the Lord will not abandon His people
on account of His great name”
(1 Sam. 12:22).

Heart, we repent of letting ourself
be spiritually paralyzed
because of fear about
being disappointed again.
God has plans for us that are good!
“'For I know the plans that I have for you,'
declares the Lord,
'plans for welfare and
not for calamity to
give you a future and a hope”
(Jer 29:11).
Heart, we love the truth
and we let ourself believe that
“the Lord will not abandon His people,
nor will He forsake us,
as His inheritance.”
(Psa. 94:14)

Heart, Believing God as Our Security 69
Heart, rejoice that the security we NEED
Is not from how well we stay in control.
Heart, it is a far better security for us to
trust the closeness of God
not from how well we avoid
“rocking the boat.”
Security is NOT from how well we accept ordinariness
not changed by people who try to intimidate or hurt us!
They can’t hurt our security
because God is with us here.
our God is a person! And, it is heaven that rules
(Heart, hear, believe, and love it as the truth!)
Not by how well we use words
to put other people down.
And, our security is NOT by
sarcastic laughter that hurts other people.
Heart, security from God is realistic for us!
our place of security is to enter and stand
before the God of the armies of heaven
with angels are all around us.
we love You Lord. YOU are our friend!
not by our getting even with those who hurt us.
Vengeance belongs to God.
And, God’s presence is safer and far more thrilling;
our God is the Lord of hosts.
And, God is our friend
(Heart, hear and believe it!)
Not the power we feel when putting ourself down.
The Lord is God, not us.
we love that God draws close with His power
all around us.
And, we love that our God is
“the head over all rule and authority”
(Gal 2:10)
not from the smiles we get from other people.
we love the radiance shining
onto us from Your face
God is our security.
Heart, the radiance from God is the
PERSON of the Holy Spirit!
(Heart, love Him as your friend!)
we turn away from having to
achieve security for ourself.
we rest into trusting the abundant grace
of God to draw near.
By faith, we trust that we are
entering with our body and soul before God.
By this, we are receiving the Holy Spirit
that radiates from the fountain of God.
we are trusting that our eyes are looking at
the presence of the kingdom of God
all around us here:
Lord,
“You are our God our soul thirsts for You,
our flesh yearns for You Thus we have seen
You in the sanctuary,
to see Your power and Your glory
our soul is satisfied”
(Psa. 63:1,2,5).
our safe refuge is inside God’s presence
Heart,
“The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
whom shall I dread?”
(Psa. 27:1).
My God is a shield of light around me
that makes evil and darkness flee!
Jesus said to the Father,
“Of those whom You have given Me I lost not one”
(John 18:9).
Heart, God has made us a descendant and
heir of the promises made to Abraham
(Gal. 3:29);
Therefore heart,
“remember the Lord your God,
for it is He who is giving us power to make wealth,
that He may confirm His covenant which
He swore to your fathers, as it is this day”
(Deu 8:18).
Heart, we turn our heart to love God
as my security;
“The eternal God is a dwelling place”
(Deut.33:27);
“God is our strong fortress”
(2 Sam 22:33).
our God is a fortress of strength and
miracle power all around us;
“let us continually offer up
a sacrifice of praise to God”
(Hebrews. 13:15).
(Heart, praise Him!)
Heart, we are secure
because we are making God our refuge.
Lord You are
“a refuge for me,
a tower of strength
Let me dwell in Your tent forever;
let me take refuge
in the shelter of Your wings”
(Psalm.61:3,4).
When we draw near to God, He draws near,
surrounding us as a refuge
of strength and love
Heart, even

Heart believe God as Our Security 70
Thank You Lord,
and Heart,
rejoice that the security we NEED is
not in soothing ourself with
how nice we are to people.
It is the closeness of God that soothes us.
Lord, we love that we can receive
Your presence.
we are trusting that You are a river of love
and goodness right in front of us here.
And what we are receiving is the
PERSON of the Holy Spirit!
(enjoy Him!)
not how impressive we are in
conversations with people.
our security is NOT from how well
we defended ourself verbally.
God is our defender.
Lord, we praise You
not ourself.
And Lord,
we delight that it is our birthright
as a believer to confidently
trust that the God who is walking
with us is the risen and glorified Jesus.
Heart, He IS before us here right now.
By faith, our eyes are looking to You Lord
not by how well
we manipulate relationships people.
we turn from twisted forms of human power.
we love Your power Lord.
When we draw near,
God draws near to us
and He is our refuge of power and strength
not found in rebelling against
the truth about God.
It is safe for us to trust that God
is good and be near to Him.
it is safe to trust that
our God is the Almighty
commander of all of heaven’s angels
not from the religious culture that surrounds us.
Lord, we worship Your power
not theirs.
All our security is in trusting that
You are our powerful refuge.
By faith, we trust that we are
looking at You Lord
not from getting more money
or from having money in our pocket.
God is the possession we treasure.
we rest into receiving the closeness of
Your presence Lord.
heart, rest in the TRUTH that God is our friend!
not from how much we do
or the projects we complete.
Heart, our security is NOT from our competence
not from how much we know.
we rest into receiving the presence of God
as our strong security.
we put our trust in You Lord.
Thank You Lord!
(Heart, feel confidence and be
reassured by God’s presence!)
we turn our heart away from
security that can decrease
because of people
or the circumstances.
And we humble ourself from
pride because it only wants
to feed on the glory of earthly things.
we rest into receiving God’s presence.
And, we grab our heart
and we turn it from doubt.
God is our security!
Heart, God is not asking us
to give up anything
that He hasn’t also promised to
replace it with something far better:
“repent and return,
so that our sins may be wiped away,
in order that times of refreshing may
come from the presence of the Lord”
(Acts 3:19).
“the Lord will not abandon His people,
nor will He forsake us as His inheritance.”
(Psa. 94:14).

Heart,
we are secure because God is with use here.
our Jesus Christ is wisdom for us.
our Jesus is righteousness for us.
our Jesus is sanctification for us.
our Jesus is redemption for us.
What we are inside Christ,
we are by His doing
(1 Cor. 1:30).

Heart, we are secure
because God is our confidence;
“The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear
The Lord is the defense of my life;
whom shall I dread?
Though a host encamp against me,
my heart will not fear;
though war arise against me
I shall be confident.
One thing I have asked from the Lord,
that I shall seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord and
to meditate in His temple.
For in the day of trouble He
will conceal me in His tabernacle;
in the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
He will lift me up on a rock”
(Psalm. 27:1 and 3,4,5).
God is my refuge of strong security,
beauty, and light
.

Thank You Lord!
Heart,
rejoice that the security we NEED is
not from our dominance compared to others.
Heart, our security is NOT decreased because of
the skills of others around us.
The closeness of God is our security!
we love that our God is the commander of
a vast army of angels and
we are setting our heart to trust that
His angels are all around us here.
Thank You Lord not from using self-contempt
as a tool to keep us from opening up to the Lord.
God is a better way to find security.
Thank You Lord that You are my strong security.
And heart, God is our friend!
(believe it!)
not from using laziness
as a tool for holding back from God.
The Lord is our good and powerful refuge.
we turn our heart to love You Lord.
we love that our God is
the Almighty commander of heaven’s angels
not from how well we keep people liking us.
The approval and pleasure of God feeds us better.
Lord, we face toward You.
And, Lord we are trusting that our faith causes
You to feel pleasure
(Heb 11:6).
Thank You that we are friends!
(Heart, cause God to feel pleasure by our faith
and dependence on Him!)
and dependence on Him!)
not from the sympathy we get from people.
God soothes us better
His presence is easier to receive and
much more abundant.
Thank You Lord!
we love Your grace to draw near to us

not from how well we hide in a cave of doubt or fear.
God is a far safer place to hide
because of His power and strength that
comes close to us.
It is heaven that rules!
we will not be afraid

not from how much money we have.
God is our provider.
we praise God that You are
a wonderful provider.
we love You Lord.
By faith, we trust that our eyes
are looking at You Lord.
we turn our ears to listen to the Holy Spirit in us,
and who comes onto us intensely from the river
the security our love is NOT from pride in ourself.
we love the security that comes from
the powerful and
the powerful and
miracle working presence of God with us.
we CAN find safe refuge in God
because when we draw near,
He draws near to us
by bringing the kingdom of heaven
with Him all around us here
Heart,

“You are my hiding place and my shield”
(Psa. 119:114);

Thank You Lord that You
are so gracious to draw near and be our God!
Heart, love the Lord because
His closeness is our strong and powerful refuge
of love and kindness.
Heart, be determined to rest confidently
into faith that allows us to enter
and stand before the Lord.
Heart, love the Holy Spirit surrounding us
because by this,
the presence of God becomes
our refuge of security.
we CAN receive the presence of God
because the river that thunders and roars
floods us intensely with
the PERSON of the Holy Spirit all around
(Heart, enjoy the security of God’s closeness!)
Heart, God has made us a descendant
and heir of the promises made to Abraham

Heart, God is Our Security 72
Thank You Lord!
rejoice that the security we NEED is
not from a fortress of
self-inflicted guilt and shame.
God is my strong and powerful fortress
not because of
our doing things to earn it but
because of our trusting His grace
.
(let yourself love Him!)

not by our trying to have people
around us all the time.
we thrill our heart with the closeness of God.
And, we are trusting God to be near.
Thank You Lord!
Your power and love ARE here God
(Heart, enjoy it!)
not by our trying to keep people saying
or doing things that make us feel secure.
we love the closeness of God’s power
to make us secure.
God is the commander of all of heaven’s angels.
And, God is our friend!
not by our stretching the truth
to impress others.
God’s glory is greater.
And, the God of all glory is with us here!
Lord, we receive Your radiant Presence like
Lord we fill ourself
in front of Your mighty and gushing river.
Lord, we love Your Holy Spirit
all around us here.
we love the personality of God
who is with us
not from how much our money can buy.
God is our provider.
Lord, we are believing that
Your presence is with us
and that Your kingdom
around us is more real than money and
more wonderful than
all the things money can buy.
Lord, You are our security,
YOU are our provider.
we love You Lord.
You are our friend
not from using foul language.
The kingdom of God
is far more impressive!
we humble our heart
into loving and receiving the
Kingdom of God all around us here
we overflow in front of Your river.
we love You Lord.
we are trusting that the kingdom of God is here.
God Himself is here with
all the miracle power
and authority of His kingdom.
And, God is our friend

we turn away from thinking
that our security can decrease
because of the circumstances,
or people, or anything else.
we set our heart to trust
the closeness of God
as our security!
our delight is in God.
And we rest in His presence
by resting the weight of our entire being,
like we were wearing a mantle and
letting God take
the weight of the yoke from us
the weight of the yoke from us
(Heart, rest in Him!)
Heart, we
“receive the promise of the
Spirit through faith.”
(Gal 3:14);
“it is by faith,
in order that it may be
in accordance with grace”
(Rom. 4:16).
Thank You Lord!
we are believing that we are
receiving Your Holy Spirit coming to us
from the river of Your grace
and goodness Lord.
And, He is a person.
Heart, I
“have boldness and
confident access through faith in Him”
(Eph. 3:12).
By faith in Him
we are trusting the scripture that says,
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you”
(James 4:8).
Heart, we set our heart
to love the closeness of God
and His kingdom here!
Lord,
“I will say to the Lord,
‘My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust!”
(Psa. 91:2);
“You are my God I exalt you.”
(Psa. 118:28 NIV).
(let ourself feel confidence from
the closeness and touch of God’s power and glory!)
Heart, make it our delight that
“Our Father has chosen gladly
to give us the kingdom.”
(Luke 12:32).
“the kingdom of God does not consist in
words but in power”
(1Co 4:20).
Heart, trust that we are near to God
and that God has drawn near to us.
Believe it because IT IS WRITTEN,
“God said,
"I will dwell in them and walk among them;
and I will be their God, and they shall be My people”
(2Cor 6:16).
Heart,
“The word of the Lord is tested;
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.”
(2 Sam 22:31).
Lord, we love You as our refuge because
Your Holy Spirit is all around us
touching us with Your love and goodness.
And Lord,
You are a shield of power and strength around us
(Heart, enjoy Him!)

Thank You Lord!
rejoice that the security we NEED is
not from power or pride in being able to hurt someone.
And, our security is NOT from the respect we get.
The closeness of God’s power
is our strength and security.
Heart, rejoice that
“it is Heaven that rules.”
(Dan. 4:26),
NOT us
(Heart, love the closeness of God being
a PERSON who is here!)
not by dominance or pride that comes from lust
or sexual sin.
Lord, we turn to You and praise You.
Lord, You are our strength and security.
we love YOU Lord
(Heart, let yourself love and enjoy God!)
not from being on drugs.
Rather than loving the drugged feeling,
we are purposing ourself into believing the
presence of God as our security and pleasure.
we love having the kingdom
of heaven around us here
not by soothing ourself with what we smoke.
heart, our security is NOT from
the feelings of power
and control there is in smoking.
we set our heart to love soothing
ourself with God’s presence.
Heart, enjoy God’s presence
quieting and calming ourself!
It is the closeness of God and
HIS power that we love.
Lord, You are our power and strength.
we worship YOU Lord, not ourself
(Heart, feel soothed and calmed!)
not in deadening our pain by drinking alcohol.
Drawing close to God
and drinking from His river fills us better.
and drinking from His river fills us better.
Heart, love drinking from the river of
God’s goodness and beauty.
not from the power and control
there is in drinking alcohol.
It is God’s power that we love.
we love that we can drown ourself
in Your presence Lord.
we don’t have to hold back and we won’t.
God’s power and sovereignty IS
here and when we draw near to God,
the kingdom of God comes all around us here
not from the power and control
that could keep us on drugs.
we humble ourself from
finding security that way.
Heart, we are humbling ourself
into confident faith
for entering and receiving heaven here
the Lord is God
not us.
we grab our soul and
turn it from trusting ourself.
we humble ourself from the
pride that tries to find
security apart from God.
Heart, let God be our God!
Hide ourself by wearing the strong and
powerful armor of God.
Heart, our armor is the Holy Spirit and
He is a person who is our friend!

“I have set the Lord continually before me;
because He is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad
and my glory rejoices;
my flesh also will dwell securely.”
(Psa. 16:8,9).
“God said,
"I will dwell in them and walk among them;
and I will be their God,
and they shall be My people”
(2Cor 6:16).

Heart, we are secure and we are confident
because we draw near to God
and He draws near to us

Lord by Your presence here,
“You are our hiding place and our shield”

Heart, by making God our refuge
it says that we possess heaven HERE:
“he who takes refuge in Me will possess
My holy mountain.”
(Isa. 57:13).
And, God has promised that
“the one who comes to Me
I will certainly not cast out.”
(John 6:37).
(Heart, believe and love the closeness of God!)
Heart, we put our trust
in the presence of God in us
and around us,
“The eternal God is a dwelling place”
(Deut. 33:27),
we set our heart to trust God
to draw near to us
and be a safe refuge
of love and goodness around us.
“Guard my soul for I take refuge in You.”
(Psa. 25:20).

Thank You Lord!
rejoice that the security we need is
not from believing lies about power of evil.
The power and love of God is far stronger.
And by faith, we are trusting that we are
abiding in His love, and that God is our friend!

our security is NOT from subtle demands
to control our relationship with God!
Security from God IS realistic for us!
security from God is what we love
not from the power and control there is in
holding back from God.
The closeness of God’s power and love is
a far better way to find security.
The Lord is a strong refuge of goodness
and love around us here
not by our trying to
escape from confidence to receive the
Holy Spirit and glory in God.
Lord, we love Your grace.
we set our heart to trust
that we are before the Lord,
angels are all around us.
And the God we love is the
commander of all the angels.
The God who is close
is all powerful and strong.
God is our security
not by our being afraid of
the Holy Spirit
and protecting ourself from God.
Lord, we love hiding ourself in You.
we draw near to You God
He draws near as a strong refuge
of acceptance and love..

Heart, its not in how well we
avoid the throne room of God.
It is safe for us to trust God and draw near.
we love that it is good for us to love and
believe that God is with us here right now.
All our security is in You Lord
not by making God do what we want.
Lord, we praise You who are close.
It is what we control that makes us
secure and YOU God,
are our friend!

And the “water” washing us is
the PERSON of the Holy Spirit

in spite of this I shall be confident”

the promises made to Abraham

(Deu 8:18).
And, God has promised with an
“everlasting covenant,
to be God to you and to your descendants”
(Gen. 17:7; Gal. 3:29).

not from the power, rebellion,
and control there is in choosing to sin.
we rest into submitting to God as our God.
we turn our heart to love Him more
than the twisted power and rebellion in sin
not from our being
‘in control’
of our surroundings or people.
Lord, we love Your closeness
as our security.

we rest into believing
that we are before the Lord,
angels are all around us.

And the God we love
is the commander of all the angels

the understanding that You give.

by our childlike faith
that we are before the river of God

Approval from God is stronger

are my refuge of

able to maintain “success.”
Success for us is to “continually offer
up a sacrifice of praise to God”

“to the end that we would be
to the praise of His glory.”

access into His presence.
